Elafonissi is a small island near the southeast tip of Crete.
The distance to Kastelli is 43 km and to Hania 76 km. The last 5 km from Moni Chrisoskalitissa to the beach the raod continues as a dirt track.

Organized bus tours from Kastelli and Hania, by boat from Paleochora. Some beautiful beaches are in the area with the island of Elafonisi in front.
