Kandanos is the capital of Selino. The village is located
about 60 km from Hania on the road from Maleme to Paleochora.
Because Kandanos receives a lot of rain in winter, the
small river flows the hole year.
Many interesting Byzantine churches like Agia
Anna, Panagia, Agia Paraskevi, Agios Georgios you can find
in this area. The village is surrounded by olive groves.
