Better known than the village is the lake of Kournas. The
village is located above the lake.
Very easy to go there from the national road between
Rethimnon and Chania. You are leaving the national road at Georgiopoli with
direction to the mountain.
At the shore are some taverns and you can
rent small boats.
A nice view from the mountain close the village of
Kournas to the lake, the mountains and the sea. |
