Therisso lies in a distance of  20 km to  Chania in the mountains. You are following a wonderful gorge to this historic place. The village is closed by the mountains, so it was very difficult to capture by the occupying forces.

Some taverns are offering good meat and strong wine. The village is quite popular and at the weekends many people from Chania are coming there, also in wintertime. Have a look in the village and discover it's history.
